You have to let God work. You can’t force life to happen, and when you try to, you find yourself screaming inside of empty rooms. Nobody ever imagines their lives will turn out the way they did, regardless of how much planning and development goes into any one individual. There’s always something in their lives that they have absolutely no control of, and more often then not, they become frustrated at the time and patience it takes to watch these things manifest. Whether it be success, relationships, or whatever other poison we crave, the reality of the situation is that there are things happening around us that we can’t see. We can only hope to live long enough to witness the result of these occurrences, and enjoy the privilege of hindsight. Time is the one thing that we can never get back, and understanding that every second is a gift will allow you to breathe a little better, think a little clearer, and love a little stronger. As I said in Change Your Mind: A Guide To Dreaming, the difference between pain and pleasure is patience, and in fully practicing this principle, I have to allow time to work it’s magic, and transform the pain that I’ve experienced into the very thing that empowers me. It’s not an easy feat, handing over control to God. But it seems that the “wants” of individuals will always fall second to God’s plan for everyone’s lives. I plug myself into the game every morning, and with all the cheat codes available at my disposal, there’s still something greater holding the controller. I could never be certain of it’s name, but I know it’s there. It’s taking me somewhere, and even in moments where it feels as though I’m being dragged through the mud, I’m holding on and I’m holding tight, because this ride is never-ending.

The Future, Now!
On New Year’s Day, I took a major step in my journey towards global domination: writing for the Dominate The Globe blog. It would also be the last day I’d ever work security in New York City. Just a month prior, I had begrudgingly accepted the job, as it was…
