As I settled back into my old room, I found myself reconnecting with old friends. Maury and Coy, two of my mentors, were still doing their thing at XD Graphic Studio and Latin Clubs, and I was excited to catch up with them. They were still thriving, and I was reminded of the countless nights we spent partying until the sun came up. The memories flooded back, as did the sense of nostalgia. It was good to know that some things never change. One evening, Maury and Coy invited Brenna and me to a boat ride. We eagerly accepted, looking forward to a night of relaxation and fun. As we set sail under the clear blue sky, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride in knowing that I still had solid connections in the city. Despite my recent setbacks, I was still respected and valued by those who knew me best. We drank top-shelf liquor and indulged in each other’s company, all the while taking in the stunning views of the New York City skyline. As the night wore on, I found myself lost in thought, staring out into the water. The alcohol had dulled my senses, but my mind was racing with the countless issues that came with being the executive producer of a growing network. I was in a different place in my life since they had last seen me, and my growth, while tumultuous, was evident. I plotted on how to integrate this rekindled connection into my plans for global domination.
