I stood in the shower, letting the hot water wash over me, trying to clear my mind. The thought of meeting with the higher-ups of American Primetime TV was both exciting and nerve-wracking. I knew that this was an opportunity that could change everything for me, but I also knew that I had to be on my A-game. I couldn’t afford to mess this up. Nicole had been a great help, not just with the project we were working on, but with keeping me grounded. She had a way of cutting through the noise and getting to the heart of the matter. The meeting was weeks away, and in preparation, I would cut my hair off, an ode to new beginnings in my career. While my relationship with wife Brenna was still suffering, the work that I was doing with Nicole was leading me to a place in my life where I could provide for Brenna the way that I should. So there I was, motionless, hot water falling on my face, bracing myself for what was coming to me. The man in the 3 piece suit had made it clear that this was a big deal, and I needed to look the part. Nicole was waiting for me in the living room, going over the plan. We had to make sure that we presented a united front, that we were both on the same page. With my oath at the forefront of my mind, I was on demon time, and started to feel as though what I was being guided to was finally arriving.
