Pride Month and PWP

I sat at my desk, the glow of my computer screen illuminating the dimly lit room. I was on a mission to craft a piece that would not only showcase my love for the wrestling industry but also shed light on a rising star in the LGBTQ+ community. My fingers danced across the keyboard as I dug deep into Billy Dixon’s story, reading every article, watching every match, and pouring over his social media accounts. I felt a connection to Billy, his passion for the industry and his unwavering spirit was something that I could relate to on a personal level. As I typed away, I couldn’t help but think about my own views on the LGBTQ+ community. To me, it was simple – love is love, and everyone deserves the right to express themselves freely. Growing up, I was taught to view homosexuality as a sin, but as I got older and experienced life outside of my small neighborhood, my perspective changed. I realized that as long as two consenting adults are happy together, it shouldn’t matter what their gender or sexual orientation is. As someone who had battled with addiction and struggled to find his own identity, I knew the importance of being true to oneself. I wanted to use this article as a platform to not only honor Billy but to also showcase the importance of inclusivity in the wrestling industry. My research led me down a rabbit hole of emotions, as I learned about the struggles and triumphs that Billy had faced as a gay wrestler. I was in awe of his courage and determination, and I knew that his story deserved to be told. With every word, I poured my heart and soul into the article, hoping to do justice to Billy’s journey. As I hit the submit button, I felt a sense of pride wash over me, no pun intended. I knew that this article could make a difference, and I was grateful for the opportunity to use my platform to bring attention to such an important issue. My working relationship with Marc Madison had just begun, but I was already excited about the possibilities of what we could achieve together. I was determined to continue on this path, to use my voice to uplift those who may not have a platform of their own. As the screen faded to black, I smiled, knowing fully that I had done something meaningful with my time.
