I can’t help but smile at the memories flooding my mind. This pilot was a special project for me, as it allowed me to expand my horizons and try my hand at acting. This scene with JD was a standout moment, as we spoke the last lines delivered together for this project. It was an ode to the fake Hip Hop industry, and Happy’s decision to return the rented jewelry was a nod to the authenticity that we all strive for in our work. While not included in this webisode version, this scene in the full episode ends with everyone on the train, after returning the rented car that Happy had used for appearances. The song “This Is The Thing” by Fink plays in the background, and it added an emotional weight to the scene that made that song a favorite of mine. As we watched the final cut, we were all moved by the power of the moment. The production of “Pale Blue Light” was a collaborative effort, and I was proud to be a part of it. Working with the Duran family was a pleasure, as their craftsmanship and attention to detail were inspiring. We shared a creative trust that allowed us to focus on the content and let it shine. Watching this scene from “Pale Blue Light” reminds me of where I was in my life, and how far I’ve come. It’s a testament to the power of collaboration and the joy of pursuing your dreams.
