As I opened up Roach TV: Behind The Scenes, I knew it was time to get back on track with Alonzo and the Bud and Roach Show. The weight of my dad’s death had left a lingering silence on the airwaves, but the microphone had been calling me once again. My heart raced with excitement as I thought about recording new podcasts and sharing our thoughts with the world. I headed into Bushwick, the familiar streets humming with life and energy. Alonzo and I met up, exchanging knowing smiles that signaled our eagerness to get back to work. Together, we made our way to S. Street Media, our creative haven for the day. Math and Sosa, always generous and supportive, had given me a key to the space, granting me the freedom to record new episodes of the Bud and Roach Show whenever inspiration struck. As we entered the studio, I could feel the atmosphere shift; it was as if the walls themselves were eager to hear our voices. Alonzo and I settled into our chairs, the familiar sensation of sitting behind the microphone bringing a wave of comfort and confidence. I had my camera rolling, capturing every moment of our creative process for Roach TV: Behind The Scenes. As I filmed the laptop screen, I showed the audience the backend of production on the Bud and Roach Show, giving them a glimpse into the intricacies of our work. Despite the daily presence of alcohol in my life, I was on a roll. I felt unstoppable. Filming these different aspects of my life brought a renewed sense of purpose and pride in my work. I could see my dreams as an entertainer crystallizing before me, and with each new episode, I felt more confident in my ability to achieve them. My daughter had noticed my constant filming, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and amusement. Each time she’d catch me with the camera, she’d flash a radiant smile that reminded me of why I was doing this in the first place. She was my inspiration, my driving force, and I wanted to show her that no matter how dark life could get, there was always a way to rise above it. As I sat at S. Street Media, immersed in the creative process, I couldn’t help but marvel at how much had changed since we first started the Bud and Roach Show. The world around me had shifted, yet my passion for entertaining and connecting with others remained constant. As I documented my journey, I knew I was on the path to greatness, and nothing was going to stop me from achieving my dreams.
